| Kung hindi ka taga Pilipinas at bumibisita ka lang, mas maganda kung condo na lang ang bilhin mo. Para hindi mo na iintindihin ang pag lilinis. |

| I prefer house and lot because I want more space and my own garden. |

| Townhouse, ayokong tumira sa mataas na building pero ayoko rin naman na maglinis ng malaking backyard. |

| If you are gonna visit here all the time and actually planning on living here, you can buy either or. House and lot are more advisable for families. But if you just want to have a good time and don't want to deal with backyard maintenance and other housekeeping, just buy a condo. |

| having a condo is nice but if you can buy a house and lot, much better. it also depends on your purpose. if you plan to buy a condo for investment, don't buy a condo because a condominium hardly appreciate it's value. it also depends on the location. |

| In UK& US, real estate is down, ganun din ba sa Pilipinas? Hopefully hindi masyadong affected ang Philippines. |

Hi Nerissa,
Real estate is not affected by the housing problem in the US, if any, it's only minimal. The big market still comes from domestic residents. And the buying of property is not comparable to US process where you have to obtain mortgages that can last a lifetime to payoff. Plus properties in the Philippines such as condominiums are more affordable compare to other countries that's why it's becoming more attractive to foreigners too. |

Hi abby,
Thanks for the info. Actually we bought a condo unit in Mandaluyong that's why we went to the Philippines. We took care of some papers to make sure we had a smooth transition. |
